In this class we use a special yoga swing to allow students to perform postures that they may not ordinarily be able to attempt on the yoga mat. The hammock & stirrups used in aerial yoga act as a support for the body to release while providing integrity to the asana. Beginners and experienced yogis can explore the postures whilst focusing on their breath. This allows one to open up, surrender and truly experience the asana whether it is in its traditional form or actually suspended in the air. Aerial yoga is thought to be particularly beneficial for students who spend a long time sitting, or who have back pain, because it has a decompressing effect on the body. This is a fun and challenging class that will literally make you feel lighter and more free!
