Teacher / Kundalini Yoga
Marta started her professional career with a degree in Mass Communication Sciences from the Complutense University, with over 20 years of experience in the business world. Practicing Hatha Yoga was a gift that came into her life in the year 2000; leading the way to become a Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher according to the teachings of Yogi Bhajan at the Avagar Center (Madrid 2004).
In 2006 Marta walked the red path into a Shamanic Journey of self-discovery in Mexico; however, it was on 2009 that it became came clear to her—it was time to start the journey of a deeper relation to her true identity. She was then granted the gift to live in the East in order to receive the teachings from spiritual teachers there receiving certificates in: Hatha Yoga, Integrative and Restorative Yoga according to the teachings of Iyengar Yoga, and in the Tantric Philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism Tradition (the path of love) in the Himalayas, Ayurvedic Consultant “Life Style” and in Ayurvedic Beauty Therapy in Kerala.
In Sri Lanka and Australia she explored Vipassana Meditation Retreats, Sahaja Yoga; and Kundalini Yoga Workshops and Courses.
Finally in 2011, she was given the opportunity to open the doors of her own space “Mirissa Yoga Shala” in Sri Lanka teaching kundalini yoga to yogis from around the world. Since then her path led her to teach classes, workshops and retreats in Australia, Sri Lanka, Bali and in now in her homeland, Spain.
To her, Yoga represents the search for union, and no matter what gender we find ourselves living this life, it is necessary that we access the masculine (Shiva) and feminine (Shakti) qualities to become true complete yogis. Kundalini Yoga has changed her life, therefore she loves guiding others to the opportunities that this effective system of self-transformation and personal development offers.
