We all have a “real hard time forgiving people,” but we can practice and get better. In the end, forgiveness is for ourselves. If we go back to one of the most basic definitions of yoga, “Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind,” we can see that an inability, or an unwillingness, to forgive is a serious fluctuation and distraction of the mind. It becomes a source of held anger and resentment, and it muddies the waters of our heart, mind, and consciousness.

If our goal in yoga is to “rest in our own true nature,” then this ‘holding on’ becomes an obstacle to that ‘resting’ and an obstacle to that sense of ‘freedom and contentment’ that yoga describes as our birth right.

The Prana Vayus/Five Winds of Life can be a powerful tool for us to cultivate our capacity for forgiveness, and forgiveness can be a powerful tool for us to cultivate the prana vayus. Consider the influence of the prana vayus on your practice, on your life, and on your greater pursuit of yoga. What a relief to simply rest in your own true nature, one with the great capacity to forgive.

A retreat is an effective way to restore and reset your body, mind and spirit. It will provide you with the necessary space and time to learn to quieten the excess noise of your busy mind, to slow down enough to listen to your body, in essence, to cultivate the ability to tune into the present moment.

Hatha: “Ha” means sun and “tha” means moon so the hatha practice helps us to balance our “masculine” and “feminine” aspects, finding equilibrium. During the practice you will build strength and flexibility. This asana practice cultivates focus, and helps to clear the energy pathways in the body bringing it to a sense of alignment.

Restorative: This is an opportunity for students of all levels to develop a deeper understanding of the yoga postures and their alignment. This class typically includes light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends. We practice fewer poses, and use props for support so we can completely relax and rest. Perfect for newcomers and those wishing to truly disconnect.

Pranayama & Meditation: Receiving the tools to enter a blissful state of stillness, you will be able to feel how the benefits of a consistent breathwork and meditation practice can extend throughout your day!

“Being able to go with the flow in life and not getting stuck by fear of change has been one of the main lessons i have learned in my life. My classes are infused with this principle of not being afraid to challenge yourself, of being flexible in our minds even before our bodies.

I am is deeply thankful to all my teachers along the way who have shared their knowledge, expertise and love for yoga. I believe it is my responsibility to pass on this knowledge to the best of my ability.

Shanti Shanti Shanti, step by step, slowly slowly, with peace and patience in our hearts .”
