Hatha Yoga
Deimante Jas (Lithuanian, Russian and English) is a yoga teacher who is passionate about helping others to feel physically and mentally balanced, to live a higher quality of life, and to evolve spiritually. In the year 2000, she was a promising law student and a mother of two but suffered constant lower back pain, wearing an orthopedic belt for the back support, she had low blood pressure and struggled with concentration problems.
She tried aerobics, pilates, and exercising in the gym but yoga was the first thing that really helped to change her health and mental state. It took quite some time to get better aligned, more flexible, and understand the physiology of asanas. She was practicing in Lithuania, UK, Spain, and India to deepen her knowledge. Over the years she tried various yoga practices but kept returning to the roots of yoga as a practitioner of hatha yoga. Now she is a Hatha Yoga Teacher, Reiki Healer, and has a certificate in anatomy and physiology.
Her yoga practice changed immensely when she met Yogi Kaivalyananda and started to practice Himalayan Hatha Yoga and Prana Kriya Yoga. Using bandhas (locks), mudras (seals), Drishti (gazing points) and understanding the flow of prana (vital energy) made her physical practice grow double in a short time.
Now as a yoga teacher she dedicates herself to using her knowledge and experience to help others reach the state of mental calmness and strength of the body because we should all aim for a healthy mind in a healthy body.
