In this asana practice we use Iyengar Ropes & Chairs as well as other props to target and support different parts of the body as they open. Students become more aware of their own physical asymmetries and therefore learn correct and safe alignment more intuitively. Performing asanas with the assistance of these yoga tools, not only helps students acquire strength and flexibility, it also allows them to attempt poses that may be more difficult to practice due to age, stiffness, injury or fear.
