“Group yoga” can mean three quite different things in Marbella: joining a regular class with other students, booking a session just for your own friends or family, or having a teacher come to your villa. Each suits a different kind of visit. Here is how they compare, so you can pick the one that fits your group.
Public Group Classes: Join the Weekly Schedule
The simplest way to practise in a group is to join the weekly timetable. Classes run through the week in different styles: Gentle Hatha on Mondays, Hatha on Wednesdays, mixed levels Hatha on Thursdays, and Yin Yoga on Fridays. Most run for around ninety minutes, mornings or around midday. Twice a month there is also a Saturday Active Yoga Flow class. Mixed-level classes welcome beginners alongside more experienced students, so you do not need to be confident to join in.
What Public Classes Cost
Public classes are priced to suit both visitors and residents. A single drop-in class is €20. A five-class pass is €75 and a ten-class pass is €130, both valid for a couple of months. A monthly membership covers eight classes. For visitors staying a week or two, a class pass usually works out better than paying for each class separately.
Private Group Sessions: Just Your People
If you are travelling with friends or family, or organising an occasion, a private group session keeps the class to your own group. The teacher shapes the session around who is in the room, whether that means a gentle stretch for a mixed group or a more energetic flow for friends who already practise. This works well for birthdays, reunions, hen parties and bachelorette weekends, and small team gatherings.
Villa Sessions: Yoga Where You Are Staying
For larger groups, or when moving everyone to a studio is more effort than it is worth, a teacher can come to your villa. Sessions on a terrace or by a pool fit naturally around a stay and need very little equipment. Because the session happens where you already are, it tends to feel more like part of the holiday and less like an appointment.
Which Option Suits Your Group
Visiting alone or as a pair and wanting to meet other people? Join a public class. Travelling with a group that wants shared time together? Book a private group session. Staying in a villa with a larger party, or marking a special occasion? A villa session is usually the easiest. If you are unsure, describe your group size, experience level, and dates, and the right format is usually clear quickly.
