Haapsalu, Estonia

Nestled on a narrow peninsula, Haapsalu captivates with its charm, earning the moniker ‘Estonia’s Venice.’
Stroll through its narrow streets, where romantic wooden houses tell tales of history.

Renowned as a spa town since the 1800s, Haapsalu beckons you to experience the allure that once drew Central European aristocrats seeking summer retreats and wellness in its acclaimed spas.

Immerse yourself in the heart of this picturesque town, where a 12th-century bishop’s castle sets the stage for spectacular events.

Indulge in the perfect blend of history, relaxation, and seaside beauty – Haapsalu awaits your discovery!

Fra Mare Spa, Hotel & Yoga Space

Experience the Fra Mare Lifestyle – Embracing the Unique Elements of Haapsalu Bay!

At Fra Mare Thalasso Spa, our way of life revolves around the extraordinary benefits of Haapsalu Bay’s mud, seawater, sea air, and seaweed for rejuvenation and therapeutic purposes.

We pride ourselves as a spa haven and as a rehabilitation centre, offering a diverse range of Medi Spa treatments.

Nestled in the heart of a beautiful pine forest near Paralepa Beach, Fra Mare Thalasso Spa is a cosy retreat, just a leisurely stroll away from Haapsalu’s Old Town and conveniently located a hundred kilometres from Tallinn.

We aim to provide a holistic experience – combining yoga, a healthy diet, relaxing and health-promoting activities and treatments, all within the embrace of the surrounding natural environment (sea and forest).

We aspire to become the pioneering service provider and knowledge centre in the field of health yoga, grounded in scientific evidence.

Thalasso Day Spa

The Thalasso Day Spa is a modern and attractive sauna and pool complex where you can make the most of rest and leisure. Here you can recharge yourself with a combined mental and physical experience, and forget all your worries. The Sea Water pool with its range of Massaging Cascades and Falls, the indoor Jacuzzi and the Heated Outdoor Pool with terrace all reduce physical stress and offer plenty of aquatic fun.

Different saunas give you a needed relaxation after a long day’s work.

High-temperature FINNISH SAUNA (max. temp. 110°C)

Low-temperature FINNISH SAUNA (max. temp. 70°C)

STEAM SAUNA (max. temp. 60°C)

SALT SAUNA (max. temp. 60°C)

SANARIUM (max. temp. 60°C)

INFRARED SAUNA (40°C-60°C)

SEA WATER POOL Our sea water pool features a range of massage jets and cascades and it is maintained at a constant temperature of between 29°C and 31°C. Sea water procedures help in the prevention of osteoporosis and diseases of the joints, restoring balance in the body and reducing discomfort caused by stress.

JACUZZI BATH

HELIOTHERAPY or sunlight therapy is recommended for those suffering from emotional disturbances or nerve illnesses, but it is also useful when recovering from a serious illness or disease. The heliotherapy room has 10 heated stone benches that are designed for high-comfort relaxation and to keep you warm after long periods in the water.

KNEIPP THERAPY in the same room as our sea water pool there is a cold and warm water walking track. Walking barefoot on sand is like giving yourself a localised massage which is an excellent form of therapy. It reduces stress and pain, activates the metabolic process and increases the flow of blood and nutrients into the cells and organs.

OUTDOOR POOL The water temperature in our outdoor pool is 27°C.
